The management and staff at the King Kamehameha Golf Club and the Kahili Golf Course and Restaurant are firmly committed to creating a cultural sense of place by educating guests to the significance of the Waikapu area. As a place of honor, to bring the culture to life, inside and out, a traditional ahu (alter) graces the crossroads of the two courses. This concern for the native culture and aina blends with Frank Lloyd Wright’s own ideas of having architecture that literally becomes a part of the land surrounding it.
